Baptist Church Painting and Drawing Day Course
Barnstaple Baptist Church, Boutport Street.
10am to 1pm
Tuesday 5th June to Tuesday 10th July 2018
The course runs on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm in the warm and light main hall of Barnstaple Baptist Church, Boutport Street.
Our Tuesday art class offers students the opportunity to work at their own pace in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Students work on individual subject matter starting with observational drawings. Drawings are developed through a range of techniques including line and tone, using media such as charcoal, chalk, conte pencils and graphite. The drawings form the basis of paintings or collages. The finished art work may be in pastel, acrylic, water colour or take the form of prints.
Tuition is individualised and supportive with both Polly and Pete working with the group. The maximum group number is 12 allowing plenty of time for advice and guidance from your tutors. Both Pete and Polly are artists and qualified teachers with experience teaching a diverse range of students and courses. Refreshments are provided as are all materials including canvases if required.
